Following the launch of the Keune’s House of Bloom in Holborn in Autumn 2022 – and one heck of a launch party to not only celebrate the London flagship salon but also 100 years of the brand – we are excited about the new Keune team. Enjoy this line-up!
One of the most celebrated names in hairdressing – holding accolades such as British Hairdresser of the Year and British Hair Icon, Andrew Barton is appointed as Keune’s UK creative ambassador – reflective of the brand’s bold new direction.
Andrew will support Keune’s education output and lead on inspiring events, as well as providing creative direction for the brand’s signature hair collections and products launches. Andrew will also be taking clients one day a week at Keune’s flagship salon, Bloom London, the salon operation in the House of Keune.
“I am delighted and honoured to join Keune, a company founded on a vision of excellence, which matches my own philosophy,” says Andrew. “Keune’s high-quality and sustainable products are all formulated to ensure the customer’s hair can be at its best and as someone who is always striving to create designs that complement the wearer and their character, which is what helped draw me to the brand and I look forward to working with the team for many years to come.”
Joining Keune as a master colour ambassador, Jo has a wealth of experience with more than 31 years in the industry. As a technical specialist, Jo has travelled the world developing bespoke education programmes as well as heading up main stage seminars to a world-wide audience. You most likely will have seen Jo’s collections published in leading magazines and she even supports salons with their own shows and photo shoots – How does she fit it all in?
Jo’s new role includes: demonstrating all the possibilities of Keune colour at its best; supporting the knowledge and skills of the hairdresser through education for the brand; while running a column in the House of Keune by Bloom to service her clients; supporting training and career development for the Bloom team in London; and directing the creative image of the Bloom salon group’s colour offering.
Jo says: “Coming from a family of hairdressers, I love the fact that Keune is a family-owned company with such heritage. I’m so excited to start my role and join Keune on its new journey in the UK”
JR Slane joins the Bloom team as creative director and salon partner. With extensive industry experience – having undergone his formal education at Vidal Sassoon – he quickly established a reputation as a leading creative and educator and has travelled the world to share his knowledge with the wider hairdressing industry.
JR’s role will see him taking responsibility for recruiting, training and career development for the Bloom team in London; designing and delivering the guest experience; and directing the creative image of the Bloom salon group.
“Seeing the value Keune puts on its salons is really important to me,” says JR. “The fact that the company is 100% loyal to the industry by only selling the brand within salons really ensures our business comes first, and being 100 years old this year is incredible”
We can’t wait to see Andrew, Jo and JR ace their new roles.
