Essex-based colourist Sophie Perfect is certainly one to watch. With a bright future ahead of her, along with a wealth of exciting experience, sheโs on track to become one of British hairdressingโs most exciting emerging creative talents.
Sophieโs joined Londonโs acclaimed Brooks & Brooks salon back in 2013. This role provided an early opportunity for Sophie to work on live events and shows, and to assist Sally Brooks on collections and campaigns.

Over the years Sophie has continued to grab opportunities with both hands, working with leading industry names to enrich her wealth of experience. These include assisting both Kim Rance and Sophia Hilton, for session work and a British Hairdressing Awards shoot respectively. Another personal career highlight for Sophie was in 2016, when she worked on the live show element of the LโOrรฉal Colour Trophy.
Now based at gfc Hairdressing in Hornchurch, Sophie loves being behind the chair and creating commercial looks for her clients on a day-to-day basis. Working alongside salon owner and industry legend, Paul Falltrick, Sophie also continues to enjoy the opportunity to work on exciting projects away from the salon, including most recently assisting on the launch of Excel Gloss colour by Revlon.

Team talent
With a passion for education and building her profile, Sophie has already earned places on two of the industryโs most acclaimed talent incubators: the Fellowship for British Hairdressingโs Project: Colour team in 2022, and Schwarzkopf Professionalโs Young Artistic Team (YATs) in 2019.
Speaking of her experience on the YATs, Sophie says: โBeing a YAT is one of my biggest achievements. In an ever-changing industry, Iโm committed to developing my knowledge. I absolutely love learning and working on shoots is a passion of mine. My time as part of the YATs gave me the tools to grow into the hairdresser I am, and for that I am truly grateful.โ

While on the team, Sophie assisted Schwarzkopf Professional Global Ambassador and session stylist Tyler Johnston in creating the 2019 Essential Looks Collection; as well as assisting the Schwarzkopf Professional team on stage at Salon International.
Now, Sophie is proud to have joined the Fellowshipโs Project: Colour, where she will continue to grow and hone her skills โ on set, on stage and in the salon.
She says: โMy dreams really have come true! Iโm so excited to be a part of Project: Colour Team. I want to say a huge thank you to The Fellowship for giving me this amazing opportunity and to Paul Falltrick and the gfc Hairdressing family for all their support. I canโt wait to see what this next chapter of my career brings.โ
