When ITV’s crime drama Grace needed a wedding venue they found it at The Great Thatched Barn at Falmer Court, the Sussex property owned by award-winning hairdresser and Electric Hair founder Mark Woolley.
The renovated barn – available for weddings and events – features as a wedding location in the latest series of the smash-hit show, which returned to ITV screens last month.

Starring John Simm as detective superintendent Roy Grace, Grace is filmed in and around Brighton and the Sussex countryside. In the new series, a wedding scene was filmed at Falmer Court’s magnificent Great Thatched Barn
Mark said: “Having the Grace production team come to Falmer Court was one of the most exciting things we’ve done here. To watch a world-class crew transform the barn into a wedding setting for one of Britain’s favourite shows was fascinating. The Barn has a timeless quality that translates beautifully on screen, and I can’t wait to see it appear in the new series.

“Weddings here are always magical,” he added. “The history of the barn makes every celebration feel special and I’m always delighted we can play a part in their special day.”
Falmer Court comprises an 18th century court house alongside the mid-13th century Great Thatched Barn and has been connected to Anne of Cleves, Thomas Cromwell, and the Earl of Chichester. Today, it is the headquarters of the Electric London brand, housing Mark’s product development lab, a photographic and film studio, and the Electric London headquarters.
