Phoenix

Bravo Caprice De Sanctis, who recently took home the title for AHIA Apprentice of the Year. Caprice’s winning collection Phoenix caught our eye, it’s strong; it’s bold; it’s fierce. Scroll down to see the winning images…

Inspiration

Phoenix, a deeply personal collection that symbolizes transformation, resilience, and rebirth. Inspired by the mythical bird that rises from its own ashes, this work reflects my own journey of falling, burning out, and ultimately returning stronger and more passionate than ever.

After moving salons twice and enduring relentless bullying, I reached a point where I questioned everything— career, identity, and whether I still belonged in the hair industry.

The fire I once had was nearly extinguished. I felt lost, burnt out, and unsure if I could find my place again. But just like the phoenix, something inside me refused to die.

The turning point came when I found Abracadabra Hair. The owners welcomed and nurtured me and provided a space where I felt safe and seen again. Under their wings, I began to heal. I reignited my creative spark and rediscovered my passion.

Phoenix a collection that symbolizes ash, smoke, flame, and flight. Bold colors, strong silhouettes, and textured designs tell a story of transformation, of rising through adversity. It’s my most honest work yet.

This isn’t just about hair—it’s about hope. Phoenix is for anyone who’s ever doubted themselves. Even when you’ve been burned, you can rise again.
