Hairdresser Andrew Barton and photographer Jack Eames recently collaborated for Bella Ballerina, an extraordinary project. Although this dynamic duo has been working together for years, Bella Ballerina is their first personal project where they had complete creative control.
About Bella Ballerina
Bella Ballerina celebrates hair as an art form. Andrew is a former British Hairdresser of the Year and celebrity stylist, and Jack a renowned hair and beauty photographer. Together they used artistic techniques in hair and photography to create a series of stunning images which explore the beauty of movement. Bella Ballerina blends the movement of hair, dance and photography to create a visually captivating collection.

Background
For over a decade, Andrew and Jack have collaborated on different brand-led projects, and the results speak for themselves. Their style and ability to help shape a brand’s identity is instantly recognisable. Their work creating signature imagery for hair and fashion brands includes Racoon International, Headmasters, Babyliss Pro and Andrew Barton Hair Tools. It’s very cool to see them lead a special and personal project of their own.
Andrew says: “It’s always fun collaborating with Jack, but usually we’re restricted by a brief. This was the first time we’ve ever worked together on a personal project, and it was great to be able to celebrate our passion for hair as an art form and share it with others to hopefully inspire them.”
Jack says: “Andrew and I took a long time to find the right model for this project, and we were really excited when we found Bella. As a dancer, performer and model we knew she’d be able to create some beautiful shapes for this story, bringing together body movement and amazing hair by Andrew, exploring how we would create compelling imagery from both.”
