Arcane

The Arcane collection sure has caught our eye. UK born hairdresser, Amy Gaudie has shown some serious artistic skills here. Amy, who now lives and works in Australia, has delivered outstanding work; her impressive skillset and attention to detail has opened doors and offered her some fantastic career opportunities. We’re talking Fashion Weeks, teaching for massive colour houses such as Wella Professional,  L’Oréal and ‘Matters In Grey’; along with educating independent salons.

Amy’s Inspiration for Arcane

Arcane (Adj): secret, mysterious, understood only by few.

Arcane tells a story of mystery that invokes a sense of intrigue in the female form, drawing your attention to the alluring female silhouette. Using a monochromatic colour palette, I’ve incorporated textured fabrics with matte and sheer elements, to encapsulate and emphasise the identity of each model. Each model’s style was chosen to enhance areas of length, shape or texture, allowing me to draw your attention to distinct areas of the body.

“Varying techniques of setting, curling or cutting were used to create moulded shapes with either matte or shiny finishes. Embracing the dark, wet-like texture with exaggerated springy curls complementing the matte, almost feather-like texture of the blonde hair to include feminine softness within the collection.”
