Vicki Lord caught our eye at Colour World earlier this year, where we saw her create just one of the looks from her AI Angel collection. Creating head pieces with hair wefts, we were lucky enough to catch an AI Angel in the flesh.

Inspiration
The inspiration behind my latest collection was rooted in the growing influence of artificial intelligence and the way women are often portrayed as robotic and identical on platforms like Instagram and social media.
In today’s digital age, the pressure to conform to a certain standard of beauty and perfection is more prevalent than ever. With filters, photo editing tools, and algorithms dictating what is deemed worthy of attention, it can feel like society is pushing women to fit into a mould that strips them of their individuality.
This collection seeks to challenge that notion by celebrating the uniqueness and diversity of women. Each piece is designed to embrace flaws, imperfections, and quirks, reminding us that true beauty lies in authenticity and self-expression.
By incorporating bold colours, unconventional shapes, and unexpected textures, I aimed to create a visual representation of the multifaceted nature of femininity. From structured silhouettes to flowing hairstyles, every Hair sculpture tells a story of empowerment, self-love, and rebellion against the homogenized standards of beauty.
As we navigate the ever-changing landscape of social media and technology, it is crucial to remember that our worth is not defined by likes, shares, or followers. We are not robots programmed to conform to a predetermined ideal – we are complex, dynamic beings with our own unique voices and stories to share.
I hope that this collection serves as a reminder to embrace our individuality, celebrate our differences, and resist the pressure to fit into a one-size-fits-all mould. Let’s reclaim our power, redefine beauty on our own terms, and inspire others to do the same.
