Explore the Achromatic collection by Melissa Timperly, stylist, educator and owner of Melissa Salons. She’s an accomplished stylist who recently added awards for her work with Afro hair to a haul of trophies. She is British Hairdressing Awards Afro Hairdresser of the Year 2022.
Inspiration
Melissa worked with the concept of using hair as fabric to create structure and silhouettes. The hair in Achromatic is seductive and bold. Exaggerated shapes create a flirty feel and show the sensational craftsmanship of working with textured hair. Melissa says she wanted to capture the interesting and ever-changing themes of the hair industry. This is certainly clear in the dynamic styles of the Achromatic collection.
