Straight from the brand’s education and sales team, here is the best advice on how to keep hair extensions in shape. So take this opportunity to share them with your clients through your online platforms and show them who the expert is. You’re welcome.

Hair washing

Great Lengths Aftercare TipsAlthough it’s 100% human hair, you need to pay more attention when you washing extensions. Pick a shampoo that works with your hair type. Great Lengths has the NEW Silver Shine Shampoo for blondes, a Structure Repair, Daily Moisture and Ultimate Colour shampoo that have all been specially formulated to work in harmony with Great Lengths. Be gentle and be patient; slowly massage shampoo from the root to tip applying special care when you are washing near your bonds or GL Tapes. Don’t apply on the roots as they could cause extensions to detach prematurely.

Colour maintenanceGreat Lengths Aftercare Tips

Ask your regular blonde clients with extensions to invest in the Great Lengths Silver Shine Shampoo so that they can complete the process and banish those brassy tones at home. The NEW Silver Shine Shampoo can be used weekly to keep colour looking its best and is 100% compatible with Great Lengths. For a more intense treatment leave the shampoo on for longer to remove yellow and brassy tones and bring life back to blonde locks.

Self isolation can be some well deserved pamper time. Great Lengths has a new High Performance Hair Mask that nourishes and moisturises hair, it’s particularly good for those who are wearing long extensions. It doesn’t take long to work. Apply to wet hair for 10-15 minutes for an intensive hair treatment.

Brushing

‘How do I brush my Great Lengths?’ many clients will ask you. Well, now that people have more free time than usually, they can make sure their hair extensions are maintained and looked after properly to increase  their longevity. Great Lengths offers soft bristle brushes in many sizes to suit all hair types and sweep through the hair from root to tips ensuring you brush over the bonds. For thick and long hair, it’s recommended to separate hair into sections and brush gradually to ensure minimal pulling on bonds or GL Tapes.

Maintenance and aftercare tips are available on Great Lenghts IGTV and social channels.
