What a SHAMAZE night celebrating the creme de la creme of British Hairdressing this week. Huge congratulations to all those who went home with a BHA gong. There was some serious talent out there for 2018.
We never tire of the lush surroundings of the Grosvenor House great room – chandelier central – and loved that TV charmer Rylan was hosting. Not bad having Noughties band Scouting for Girls playing their hit songs in the break, either.
Fantastic work from Sally Brooks who stole the show, taking the British Hairdresser of the Year title for the second year running… awesome, we just love how modest she is too. We’ve got a lot of love for Desmond
Murray too who scooped Mens Hairdresser of the Year, while Afro Hairdresser of the Year went to Michelle Thompson from Francesco Group. The super talented Marc Antoni Art Team stole the title for Artistic Team of the Year and there weren’t surprised when Sylvestre Finold, Toni & Guy, Wimbledon was crowned king of Avant-Garde. Finally Newcomer of the Year went to Gianluca Caruso, Toni & Guy, North Audley Street and Robert Eaton of Russell Eaton was a very worthy winner of the Schwarzkopf Professional British Colour Technician of the Year Award.
In the regionals, we spotted…
