Avlon’s Affirm FiberGuard Conditioning Relaxer System is the only relaxer system that straightens hair while retaining more of its original tensile strength and elasticity. In fact, the FiberGuard System preserves up to 64% of the hair’s strength compared with conventional relaxer systems.
Professional stylists can create amazing hairstyles that look and feel silky straight with more moisture, softness, shine and body.
Preserve More Strength with FiberGuard
Hair fibres relaxed with conventional relaxer systems typically lose about 50% of their original tensile strength and elasticity compared with a loss of only 18% for hair fibres relaxed with FiberGuard. However, the cumulative loss of strength for hair fibres relaxed with conventional relaxers is likely to be greater than 50% if hair is previously processed with permanent hair colour. Such a loss of strength may cause hair to break, split or crack, ultimately inhibiting the growth of hair to longer lengths.
Damaged hair becomes dry and begins to appear dull and lifeless. After relaxing with FiberGuard, hair fibres retain significantly more tensile strength and elasticity. Special conditioning agents penetrate the cortex of hair fibres during the relaxer process to reinforce the internal structure and restore moisture, shine and body. Relaxed hair has never been healthier, softer or with as much body.
Step 1: FiberGuard Preservo Strengthening Serum
The serum is applied to the whole head just prior to relaxing to protect and condition hair during chemical processing. This patented formula contains Fibre Strengthening Complex (FSC), a revolutionary conditioning complex exclusive to Avlon that penetrates deep within the hair shaft while cuticles are open during relaxing. FSC consists of special strengthening and conditioning ingredients that minimize swelling, preserve strength and restore hair’s natural lustre.
Step 2: FiberGuard Creme Relaxer or FiberGuard Sensitive Scalp Creme Relaxer
Strengthening polymers in the relaxer creme penetrate hair fibres leaving hair with significantly more tensile strength and elasticity after relaxing. FiberGuard relaxers are available in a range of Sodium Hydroxide formulas including mild, normal and resistant strengths and guanidine hydroxide formula, which is a custom mix kit.
Step 3: FiberGuard Sustenance Fortifying Treatment
Fiber Strengthening Complex (FSC) enter the hair fibre to replace natural shine properties depleted by chemical processing. Sustenance also consists of special fruit extracts that strengthen newly relaxed hair while replenishing lost moisture. Sustenance lowers the pH of hair after relaxing, leaving newly relaxed hair in the best condition possible with incredible shine, softness and body.
Step 4: FiberGuard Normalizing Shampoo
Fruit extracts and ceramides work to reinforce the structural integrity of hair while enhancing its visual properties. The shampoo contains a colour signal that indicates when hair is effectively neutralized and free of all traces of relaxer.
