Opal-Essence by Illumina Color

Lauren Wella Professionals

Opal EssenceNew Opal-Essence has finally launched!

They say Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but we reckon the new Opal-Essence range from Illumina Color is a close second. Inspired by the shine of an opal, this collection of five stunning shades will give you opalescent results and a metallic milky sheen with warm and cool light reflections.

The technology bit

We’re totally impressed by the different impressions Opal-Essence is able to create in the hair. This is thanks to an innovative dye composition that allows light to reflect it in different ways. The Revelation TM technology is truly amazing.

Titanium Rose

                Titanium Rose

Used alone or mixed with Illumina Color base, the range features five opalescent shades: Platinum Lily, Titanium Rose, Silver Mauve, Copper Peach and Chrome Olive. Our favourite is the Titanium Rose for sure.

The best in the business

If you’re not sold already, wait till we tell you who is at the helm of the campaign. Possibly the most influential colourist in the fashion world today, Andrea Kurkowitz, Wella Professionals’ Global Color Ambassador

Opal EssenceHaving worked with designers from Acne to Givenchy and on shoots for iD and Vogue, Andrea’s colour work is unique, yet always tailored to the individual.

Shot in Auditori Teulada, Spain by acclaimed fashion photographer Jacob Sutton, the campaign features Andreas giving a step-by-step guide to perfect colour application. Next, Wella Professionals’ Global Creative Colorist Renya Xydis, cuts and styles the model to create a smooth finish with bounce and volume. Showcasing the exceptional talent of both artists, the campaign highlights Opal-Essence’s exciting and new revolutionary approach to colour. We can’t wait to try it!
