It’s safe to say Unite Hair made its mark at SS24 Fashion Weeks across the globe. The hair teams created chic, stunning looks for various shows, and we love all the inspiration. First up, the Unite hair team took NYFW by storm. Then, in London, the brand worked with various creative designers, including Junyang and Rue Agthonis. Finishing off in Paris where Unite collaborated with some incredible designers to create stunning hair looks for shows. We wanted to share three of our favourite hair looks with you. To help us are the lead hair artists who give a step-by-step guide on how to recreate the looks.
New York Fashion Week: Buci show
The Unite Hair team, with lead hair Gary Baker, created some exceptional looks for the Buci show at NYFW.
“This look was all about enhancing natural texture and creating a lived-in style for the ultimate cool girl vibes,” says lead hair and Unite creative director Gary Baker. If you want to recreate the look for clients, see below:
- Start with a light spray of GO365 Hairspray on each section of the hair before curling
- The best tool for this look is a wand since you can control your curling technique
- Take each section and lightly wrap it around the curling wand to give a little bend to the hair
- Once you have curled each section, take a dime size of SECOND Day and run it through
- the hair, ends first. This will give the ends a light polish and is the finishing touch to this look
London Fashion Week: Rue Agthonis show
At LFW the Unite team and lead hair Narad Kutowaroo created jaw-dropping styles for the Rue Agthonis show.
“The idea was to make the hair have a sculptural silhouette whilst not making each one a clone and keeping some personality in each model,” says Narad. The team used products from across the Unite range as they worked on each model’s texture.
- Use a range of EXPANDA Root, MAX CONTROL Hairspray & SESSION MAX Hairspray on each model to slick back the ponytails
- The hero product was 7SECONDS Glossing Spray to add shine all over the hair
Paris Fashion Week: Chase Schuman show
At the Chase Schuman show in Paris for PFW, Gary Baker led the Unite hair team and created some gorgeous looks we know your clients will love.
“The designer wanted a lived-in look. Wind-swept texture without looking like any product was used. The overall vibe had a 90’s grunge feel,” says Gary Baker.
- Prep the hair with heat protection. The team used 7SECONDS BlowOut Creme
- Create light texture in the hair to create the Chignon and gently pull it apart
- Finish and add detail with TEXTURIZA Spray and SECOND Day
