Classic cutting and colouring techniques provide the basis for many of the hairstyles created for clients. Suited to most people’s face shapes, lifestyles and individual image, the ability to perfectly execute these looks is paramount to every hairdresser.

Today, hairdressers need to constantly update their techniques to drive client loyalty and progress their work. This is why the TIGI International Creative Team has created Modern Classics.

Created by TIGI Creative Directors from across the globe, under the direction of Anthony Mascolo, Modern Classics has a truly international feel that illustrates the breadth and reach of TIGI and shows the synergy and diversity of the team’s work.

“Over the years, classic hairdressing has provided thousands of hairdressers with the basis of their daily salon work and has been a fundamental part of the education programmes my team and I have developed,” says Anthony.

“We regularly reassess the styles we’ve previously created, updating our techniques as well as reviewing the TIGI products we use to finish the looks. We are excited to share our new translation: TIGI Modern Classics, taking classic techniques through to creative looks.

TIGI Modern Classics encompasses eight cutting and colouring techniques, available on TIGI Fuse allowing you to study the new work whenever and wherever you want.  The new techniques will also be included in courses at TIGI academies across the globe.
