What an opportunity Unite is offering stylists with its Runway Ready 2-day course. Not only do participants get put through their paces by two of session styling’s finest – Gary Baker and Narad Kutowaroo, but they also get the chance to spend a season assisting backstage at Fashion Week.
Checking out the talent, courtesy of distributor’s Lacey Wholesalers, we headed along to today’s course (June 18) and were blown away. Unite Creative Director Gary definitely puts the stylists through their paces, but boy did they experience what life is like for stylists backstage.
Not for the faint hearted, Gary was meticulous in his critique of the ponytail, a backstage favourite, and was direct and honest with the audience about what will be expected of them in such a fast-paced atmosphere, but no one was put off, the energy in the room was buzzing!
