The culture of hair loss with Roots Professional

Unfortunately hair loss is inevitable, and as it’s hair loss awareness month we felt this was the perfect time to speak to Roots Professional and really nail down on what it is their products do and when to use them.

We went live on Facebook with the brand’s Co-Founder Brian Hendricks and UK Educator Krysia West and what a fascinating conversation we had. If you missed it, it’s worth a watch HERE

Here are our top five takeaway points from the conversation…

It’s easier to maintain great hair, than it is to chase great hair

Wise words from Brian that just make sense. We’re so used to not doing anything about a situation until we’re in it, but what if we act early and can prevent it? At the age of 19 is when our hair is in its best condition – by using Roots Professional at this point you can prevent hair loss that naturally comes as we grow older.

Let’s make it cool

We know “hair loss” doesn’t sound sexy, but then again neither do “wrinkles” yet we’re more than happy to invest in our skincare routine as a prevention tactic. It’s time to educate clients that scalp care is just as important as skincare, by investing in our scalp care earlier we can preserve our hair density. The same way by finding a great skincare routine can preserve your youthful skin.

More than just hair growth

Whilst hair growth is key to their products, we were really impressed to learn that Roots Professional products actually give hair a great amount of volume when styling. As many volume products dry the hair out, Roots smartly formulated their products to add volume and moisture at the same time – the perfect combo.

This is a beauty product

At Roots Professional, the goal is to make you as beautiful as possible. Our body doesn’t need hair, we socially want hair. There is a collective sharing within the Roots technology which is also reassuring to the clients. For example, an older woman suffering from hormonal hair loss being advised to use the same products as a 19 year old girl using Roots to grow her hair long will help her confidence by allowing her to feel that she is still using ‘beauty’ products rather than ‘medical’ products.

It does what it says on the tin

As Brits, it’s in our nature to be skeptical when we see a new product selling us a dream. With Krysia sharing her Roots journey and how she’s seen a vast improvement with her hair growth since using the range over the past six months, its great to see that the products really do what they say on the packaging. Restoring client’s and stylists faith in the brand.
