Rio’s new role at Revlon

Revlon

Rio Agor-Watts has been promoted to the new role of group education manager for Revlon Professional UK & Ireland. This step-up is ideal for Rio who is passionate about education. We love that brands are prioritising learning and supporting newcomers to the industry, the team at Revlon is a great example of this.

Matt Horder

Revlon Professional general manager for UK & Ireland, Matt Horder says: “A key member of the Revlon Professional team, Rio has delivered consistent success since joining the business as a Salon Account Manager in 2017. Rio combined her hairdressing experience and sales know-how to achieve great success, winning numerous sales awards. Early in 2021 Rio progressed into the role of technical educator for the South UK & continued her journey, winning educator of the year in her first year. She’s become a well-known face in the industry and rightly so, with not only a wealth of knowledge but also a dazzling personality to match.”

About Rio’s new role

Rio’s new role will report directly to Matt Horder with a dotted line into Philippe Brun, education director for Northern Europe, based in Paris. The current Revlon Professional educational team of Karen Thomas, Phil Meehan and Nicky Finnis will report into Rio.

Rio says: “I’ve been working in hairdressing since the age of 15 and have followed a natural trajectory from the salon to account management and through to education. This role is a dream fit for me. I’m passionate about passing on and translating product knowledge to my fellow hairdressers. Texture inclusivity is one specific area that I’m determined to focus on and already we’re seeing big changes in colour technology and how we use that to bridge gaps in this market.

“I have a hugely skilled and motivated team, and between us our goal is to take education to the next level, have fun and be creative.”
