Finalists gathered at the Revlon Professional Academy, Leeds, on Monday, 27th February, to compete for a place in the Revlon Professional Visionaries Team 2023.

Revlon tells us that the year-long mentorship programme, directed by the brand’s global ambassador, multi-award-winning Mark Leeson, gives budding stylists a chance to supercharge their skill set. With opportunities ranging from photo shoots to stage work, colour and cutting courses and social media workshops, we hear this is a fast-track route to a stellar career.
Judges included Richard Darby and Terri Kaye from Mark Leeson and Emma Simmons from Salon 54. A total of 19 finalists were invited to show off their cutting and colouring skills under the scrutiny of the esteemed panel.

Commenting on the quality of the contenders, Mark Leeson says, “The amount of talent we had in the room this year was so impressive. We witnessed some promising skills, but what impressed me most was the obvious hard work and commitment they all showed. I’m excited for the year ahead, and I know our final five are all excited too.”

Revlon says the five Visionaries will be treated to a two-day colour and cutting course at the brand’s academy in Leeds. Matt Horder, general manager of Revlon Professional UK & Ireland says, “We have an incredible year lined up for this talented crew – this is just the start. The Visionaries programme has been designed to elevate the profile of some of the most promising talent within the industry and their salons. After 12 months of hard work, the sky’s the limit!”
