Unless you live under a rock, you have probably heard about Salon International, which occurred between the 14th and 16th of October at ExCel in London. Brands and industry stars put on show-stopping displays, including Revlon Professional, who had three hubs within the expo: The Colour Hub, The American Crew Photo Studio and, amusingly, The Ball Pit.
The Colour Hub
The Colour Hub was a fantastic success, manned by the Revlon Visionaries Team. Each year, Revlon Professional presents a tremendous opportunity for four creative individuals to join the Revlon Professional Visionaries. This entails a year-long mentorship program directed by Revlon Professional global ambassador and award-winning hairdresser Mark Leeson. This year’s team includes Dodge McKay at Andrew Jose; Jessie Stride at Pink Soda; Danny Malone at Macc Hair, Emy Roccabella at Danilo Giangreco and Ashley Long at Directors.
So much to see
At Salon International, the team demonstrated some incredible skills, colouring both dummy heads and live models. Each team member displayed the talent they’ve learnt throughout their career and the skills they’ve accrued under Mark’s mentorship.
The American Crew Photo Studio
The American Crew Photo Studio was patronised by talented barbers including George Smith; Fella; Alex Burt at Teddy Edwards; MaxOliver; Ian Harrold and the amazing session stylist behind Haircuts4Homeless, Leigh Keates.
The Revlon Ball Pit
We hear the brand also had great fun within The Revlon Ball Pit, injecting a burst of cheeky childishness into the proceedings. Word on the street is that the entire sales team dove into the pit…sounds like a hoot!
Revlon says that Salon International was a great success, made even more special because it was the expo’s 50th birthday. Here’s to another 50 years!
