100 Years Of Hair – KMS x Jack & The Wolfe

Showing us how you can hit the social media sweet spot with engaging content, Lydia Wolfe and Jack Mead, owners of Jack and the Wolfe racked up millions of views with their recent films. In case you missed it, Jack and Lydia shared a reel where they switch from one iconic style of a decade to the next. They took wellknown styles and spanned from the 1920s to the 2020s, and we loved it!

Over the years, hairstyle trends have varied drastically for both men and women, favouring bold- new looks alongside classic and traditional styles that stand the test of time (ref; the 70’s blow-out). Like all trends, hairstyles go in and out of fashion, often dictated by everything from pop culture to international influences.

Now as KMS ambassadors, Lydia and Jack have reprised their concept and picked five KMS products you can use to recreate all 10 looks from a century of style. Read on for Jack’s top styling tips on using each product to achieve these beautifully nostalgic hairstyles…

Jack: KMS Moist Repair Leave-In Conditioner and KMS Therma Shape Hot Flex Spray allowed me to use a lot of heat during the transformations without damaging the hair. It left the hair feeling great after it had been worked on a lot. I love the Leave-In Conditioner. It allows you to comb through the hair easily and the Hot Flex Spray gives ultimate protection while giving the hair some hold.

Jack: I use the KMS Add Volume Styling Foam on everyone who wants volume. It’s an absolutely brilliant product and I love to layer it as it’s not sticky. Put the mousse in, blow dry it and then re-apply for the ultimate glamour without feeling like there’s a product in your hair.

Jack: The KMS Hair Stay Anti-Humidity Seal is another go-to product for me. One, because it smells nice, but more importantly, because of the shine it puts on the hair. My clients love it, and, in this video, it stopped the hair from looking too matte.

Jack: I love the KMS Hair Stay Working Hair Spray for ponytails. It’s good for getting a super-sleek ponytail or updo and it brushes straight out—no stickiness or white residue.

KMS Hairplay Sea Salt Spray

Jack: Finally, the KMS Hairplay Sea Salt Spray is great for getting that 2023 undone-cool-girl vibe. Spray it in and leave it or rough dry, and you have volume and texture, done but not too done.”
