Are you staying physically active during lockdown? Or are you finding yourself in lack of motivation? Well, exercise lover or not, you definitely need to hear this! L’Oréal Professional Products Division invites all UK and Irish hairdressers to embark and unite on a 100,000-mile journey of four laps around the world in solidarity; with the launch of ‘Walk for hairdressers’ (#walkforhairdressers).
L’Oréal Professional invites hairdressers to take part in a collective walking challenge from Tuesday 19th January 2021 to not only fuel exercise for the mind, but also exercise for the benefit of all. The initiative ‘Walk for hairdressers’ will see our community join together remotely to travel around the world as part of daily exercise routines, whatever form that may take – walking, running, biking or even at-home workouts while respecting all Government guidelines.
Powered by technology, L’Oréal Professional Products Division has launched a mission on the My Virtual Mission website and app – www.myvirtualmission.com – where each participant can sign up to “join” the mission. The app records each person’s progress, which can be viewed on the world map, and adds to the total miles achieved. The virtual mission will start in Birmingham and end in Cardiff, via the entire world!
As part of the Walk For Hairdressers initiative, L’Oréal Professional Products will donate £10,000 to the Hair & Beauty Charity and Look Good Feel Better Ireland. The first 1250 people to sign up to take part in the challenge will be able to register for free – L’Oréal Professional will be covering the cost! Thereafter, participants will have to pay £4 per person to the app to register on the mission.

- Enter mission code = 100000 & click the “Join” button
- Continue on to register your account
- Install the My Virtual Mission mobile app onto your mobile device. You can search for the My Virtual Mission app in the App Store and Play Store and log in with your email and password
- Log each of your distances into your mission page or smartphone app. to track your progress which will be added to the total miles
- Post your participation and progress on social media with #walkforhairdressers #supportyourlocalsalon #wecareformorethanhair @lorealpro @hbcharity @lookgoodfeelbetterireland
