Unite Hair joined forces with Oxfam to create eye-catching hairstyles for the catwalk in Fashion Fighting Poverty 23, Oxfam’s London Fashion Week show. All the outfits, modeled by top-list celebrities, were created with pre-loved garments sourced from Oxfam’s stores. The charity raises funds to help support those less fortunate worldwide, responding to humanitarian disasters with their partners.
Details
Unite’s UK Ambassador Narad Kutowaroo was lead hair artist for the show. He and the Unite team were thrilled to be included in the making of such a great night, and styled celebrities including Daisy Lowe, Megan Jayne Crabbe and Francis Bourgeois. Fashion Fighting Poverty aims to disprove the notion that second-hand clothing is “second best”. Oxfam wishes to emphasize the importance of buying second-hand, a more sustainable and environmentally conscious approach to fashion. EBay sponsored the show, held at the Vinyl Factory in Soho, central London.
