London Fashion Week with L’Oreal

London Fashion Week made quite the comeback this September, and we felt fashionably inspired for what’s set to come in SS22. The As usual it was a busy week for the L’Oreal Professionnel team as they defined next season’s hair trends alongside incredibly talented designers.

Bora Aksu

Lead Artist: Daniel Martin for L’Oréal Professionnel Paris

The Muse: The Effortless Cool Girl

The Look: “The collection is incredibly colourful, think 1970 fluorescence – a freedom of colour. I wanted the hair to compliment rather than overwhelm. The look is inspirated by a cool girl that has just got out of bed, she washed her hair the night before and popped in braids to let it dry naturally. Easy, minimal, effortless.” Daniel Martin for L’Oreal Professionnel

Rejina Pyo

Lead Artist: Ali Pirzadeh for L’Oréal Professionnel Paris

The Muse: “Due to the venue I wanted to create a look that connected the water and the sportiness of the divers to the hair style. The muse has a sporty element with polished and clean finishes.”

The Look: Clean and polished with a twist!

Emilia Wickstead

Lead Artist: Shaun McIntosh (Tosh) for L’Oreal Professionnel Paris

The Muse: Classic and elegant yet daring to be different and stand out in the crowd.

The Look: Exaggerated versions of classic, bygone era styles but with modern twists.

Richard Malone X Mulberry

Lead Artist: Richard Phillipart at the Boutique Atelier for L’Oréal Professionnel Paris

The Muse: I’ve been thinking about the pandemic and the effects it’s had on the hairdressing industry, what I missed the most about hair, so I looked to nightlife. Sweaty, grimy places full of people all squashed in and living life and that 4am, dishevelled, sweaty, squashed, fingers run though it off the face hair.

The Look: Individual characters leaving a club with hair full of a life lived and fun had.

Ravensbourne University

Lead Artist: Tina Farey at RUSH for L’Oréal Professionnel Paris

The Muse: Natural beauty

The Look: Slick ponytail with a cross-over detail at the back
