With an impressive rating of 4.9 stars on their Facebook page, the independent boutique KOKO salon in Guildford is certainly doing something right. We caught up with salon director and founder of KOKO, Steve Reina to find out what makes his salon so unique and why he choose KEVIN.MURPHY:
We think KOKO is unique as we understand that our salon is not just about hair, but is also about health and sustainability of all things: friendship, home, community, lifestyle. We also believe we have a very welcoming approach to service.
Back in 2012, I found a box in my office with what I thought was the perfect product line – it was exactly what I had been searching for! Then I was introduced to Kristy Jarman (the then Education & Sales UK manager for KM) and a embarked upon the most wonderful journey to introduce KEVIN.MURPHY to our stylists and clients.
Our clients love the products and always mention the ethics and the fragrances. I’m also pleasantly surprised when non-salon clients come in to purchase products as we are the only place locally that stocks the full KEVIN.MURPHY range.
Currently, everyone in the salon seems obsessed with DOO-OVER – we use so much of it! However, our staple product from day one, and one which so many clients re-buy and comment on, is the YOUNG-AGAIN OIL.
Simple! My secret is to be happy, friendly, approachable and professional to everybody that walks through the salon doors!
I hope all of the above!
