COLOR.ME BY KEVIN.MURPHY SPONSORS AHFA 2018
Go big or go home we say, and that’s exactly what the KEVIN.MURPHY team did by picking to sponsor the 2018 Australian Hair Fashion Awards to launch COLOR.ME by KEVIN.MURPHY down under. Otherwise known as the AHFAs, the awards are Australia’s largest and most successful independent awards and more than 900 industry professionals packed in to the iconic Luna Park in Sydney, where the awards were hosted.
The man himself, Kevin Murphy, and his brilliant team including HEAD.MASTER Nathan Gorman, COLOR.ME design director Kate Reid, design director of styling Wade Blackford, and SESSION.MASTER James Nicholsson, celebrated the launch of COLOR.ME by putting together an fabulous presentation that demonstrated their creative prowess in colour and style.
Huge congratulations to COLOR.ME design director, Kate Reid, who accepted the prestigious Excellence in Education award at the event for her success as a driving force in the hair industry as an internationally acclaimed colourist, educator, and influencer. Kate was selected out of hundreds of entries from salons and individuals across Australia and was judged by a panel of international industry professionals to receive this highly acclaimed award. Nice! Later that evening, Kevin’s personal guest and internationally-regarded celebrity hairstylist, Jen Atkin, received the AHFA Icon of the Year award, too, for her celebrity clientele and strong online influence. Jen has more than 2.3 million fans on Instagram.
The evening closed with an exclusive after-party put on by AHFA with 90’s music legend Ultra Naté, who rocked the crowd with a killer DJ set, offering an exciting way to close an amazing and successful event.
Kevin says: “Fashion has always played a huge role in the KEVIN.MURPHY brand, so partnering with AHFA to launch our revolutionary new product is a perfect fit.” With Kevin.Murphy’s signature sartorial style, and beautiful Color.Me work, check out some of the looks below:
