Jude Taylor’s Christmas Care Guide

The festive season is fast approaching. Clients are getting ready for a whirlwind of social events. OSMO’s new ambassador Jude Taylor has shared a guide on how clients can ensure hair stays healthy and looks its best throughout the festive season!

Use Heat Protectants

While straighteners and curlers work wonders in creating stunning hairstyles, using high heat regularly can lead to damage like split ends, dryness, and breakage. Always apply a heat protectant before styling to help guard your hair from the effects of high temperatures. You can use creams, gels, or sprays on towel-dried or dry hair before you begin styling.

OSMO Blowdry Potion (250ml, £9.99) is ideal for those using heat tools. This specially formulated, heat-activated lotion thickens and holds your style, while reducing friction and breakages caused by heat. The result is full, smooth, and healthy-looking hair—and the product is completely cruelty-free.

Limit Heated Styling

During the festive season, try to limit your use of heated styling tools. For back-to-back parties, consider alternating styles—go for voluminous waves one night and a chic updo the next. This will give your hair a break from heat, while still ensuring you look great.

Apply Treatments

Weekly hair treatments are a great way to restore moisture and strength, especially after frequent styling or chemical processing. Deep conditioning treatments can work wonders on dry, brittle, or damaged hair. For those who prefer natural remedies, coconut oil is a popular choice, and it’s often something you already have in the kitchen.

For a salon-quality treatment at home, try OSMO X.Posed Treatment Mask (250ml, £5.65). This intensely hydrating mask, enriched with Basil, Thyme, and Mandarin extracts, helps repair and restore your hair, leaving it feeling silky, smooth, and manageable.

Give Your Hair a Break

When you have a gap between festive occasions, let your hair rest. Avoid unnecessary styling and instead use a dry shampoo to extend the time between washes. OSMO Day Two Styler (200ml, £7.99) is a quick and easy solution, keeping your hair fresh with a lovely fragrance and ready to be restyled for your next event without needing a full wash and blow-dry.
