FibrePlex bond enforcing service from Schwarzkopf Professional

Lauren Henkel

We all know the chemical process behind colour treatments can cause long-term damage to the hair, leading to hair breakage. However, with the FibrePlex system from Schwarzkopf Professional, colourists can give their customers the courage to try a new colour without worrying. The new range works to strengthen and nourish the hair and is suitable for both salon applications and at home after colour care kits.

Schwarzkopf Professional Global Colour Ambassador, Lesley Jennison, says: “FibrePlex is like insurance for your hair, it protects the hair structure during the colour process, which is amazing. This gives hairdressers and clients so much more flexibility and possibilities to be creative. The FibrePlex shampoo and the N°3 Bond Maintainer provide an additional layer of care and protection so the hair strength and colour are kept at the very best.”

How it works

  1. The initial step of the FibrePlex treatment is the N°1 Bond Booster. It is mixed into any lightening, lifting or colouring system and interlinks with the hair fibres to enforce strong structural bonds.
  2. After rinsing, the hair is shampooed using the FibrePlex Shampoo.
  3. To seal and repair the hair, the FibrePlex N°2 Bond Sealer is applied and left for five to ten minutes for a nourishing treatment before being rinsed out. During this step, the bonds are stabilised and the outer hair surface sealed for long-lasting strength, suppleness and shine, minimising hair breakage by up to 94 percent, leaving the hair feeling soft and nourished.
  4. To maintain the best results, the shampoo should be used at home alongside the N°3 Bond Maintainer. Applied to wet hair for five to ten minutes twice a week, the FibrePlex N°3 Bond Maintainer locks in colour pigments by balancing the pH level, helping to maintain the improved hair quality whilst protecting against mechanical damage.
