Save the date for James Henderson

Pricing is a big topic in the hairdressing industry! And after the year we’ve had, it’s being discussed now more than ever. That’s the exact reason Great Lengths are making this the topic of conversation for their next Coffee Talk with special guest, James Henderson.

Pencil it in for 11am on the 21st June. James Henderson, owner of M Hair in Nottingham and Great Lengths Global Charity Ambassador for The Little Princess Trust;  will be sharing his advice, anecdotes and tried-and-tested techniques for making hair extensions an integral part of your salon business strategy.

James Henderson’s top tips

  1. Know your overheadsJames Henderson
This is crucial for introducing any service into your salon. Knowing your overhead costs will help you decide the overhead rate on the price of your hair services. The smaller the overhead rate, the bigger the net income will be.
  2. Know your market
As a business owner it’s really important to understand your market. Research your competitors, speak to you clients about what price they are willing to pay for your services and understand how best to market your salon for your target audience. Is it word of mouth, social media, print advertising? Or maybe a mix
  3. Know your worth
This one is vital. If the past year has taught us anything, it’s that hair is best left to the experts! The love and appreciation we have felt since reopening has been overwhelming and it’s clear that clients now recognise more than ever the high level of skill required to create professional looking hair – anyhow important it is for their wellbeing. We should never be afraid to charge for our expertise.

Hopefully those tips help you for now. We can assure you that James know his stuff as we had him as a guest on a podcast not too long ago – listen HERE. It is without question that James will be sharing plenty more of his expertise and tips on 21st June. Sign up HERE for free!
