Great Lengths for Little Princesses

Aurore Caboche Great Lengths

When the time comes to remove your hair extensions, Great Lengths want ensure they don’t go to waste! Used Great Lengths hair extensions can be donated to the Little Princess Trust charity and used towards making real-hair wigs for children.

Great LengthsLittle Princesses need your help

Expensive hair extensions can be repurposed after use by your clients in an important and generous way. Collecting the hair and gifting it to the Little Princess Trust means they can help make real-hair wigs. These wigs are then gifted to young children who have experienced hair loss as a result of cancer or alopecia. Great Lengths is proud to say that they are the only hair extensions company to work with the Little Princess Trust as a result of the quality of the hair used in their extensions, which is ethically sourced and 100% human hair.

Child Cancer Awareness

September is Child Cancer Awareness month, prompting Great Lengths to focus on getting news of the brand’s partnership with the Little Princess Trust. The hope is to encouraging more Great Lengths extension wearers to donate their hair once they’ve finished with it. The collaboration was initiated by Great Lengths extensionist and co-founder of M Hair Nottingham,James Henderson, when he noticed that the high-quality hair that was being removed from his clients could be re-used as hair donations.
James was recently appointed as the Charity Ambassador of Great Lengths, due to his ongoing support and involvement in the Great Lengths and Little Princess Trust partnership and says:  I’d read about the Little Princess Trust and the amazing work they do in a magazine article. I was moved by the story behind the trust. I was also impressed that these were the only dedicated charity that provide real hair wigs for boys and girls that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or alopecia. No child should have to go through what these children are going through and the fact that this can help to restore their self-confidence a little bit is incredible and something that I really hoped we could be a part of.

To date, more than 1,250 bundles of Great Lengths hair extension bundles have been donated to the charity, and with your help this number should grow. Speak to your clients about the idea at the point of sale, and help them to understand the benefits of donating their extensions once they are removed.  Share news that a number of donations to the Little Princess Trust have already been made by the likes of actress Sarah Parish, and DJ, model and TV presenter Vogue Williams, as well as blogger Becky Sheeran. Joining this crew puts them in great company! And as for the feel good factor… it’s immeasurable.
