Delighted to hear Great Lengths UK Education and Creative Manager, Louise Jenkins and UK Educator Kirby Hickey were given the chance to join the brand’s Universal team in Milan for the SS19 Fashion Week. They joined session stylist Beppe D’elia in Milan and assisted alongside him and his team from Beautick.
Throughout the week the Great Lengths team worked on perfecting the finished looks for some of the biggest designers on the runway. First up, Louise and Kirby assisted on the Francesca Liberatore show, which was held at the impressive Bagni Misteriosi swimming pool. Fittingly, the models showcased a natural wet look, complemented with a beach wave texture with a plait and gold leaf to finish. Meanwhile synchronised swimmers took to the pool either side of the runway. Wow, what a show!
VIP Fendi party
Next on the agenda was individual styling for Fendi’s biggest VIP’s at the Palazzo Parigi to prepare them for the Fendi fashion week party. Some of the worlds most successful influencers and VIP’s gathered in Milan to see Fendi’s latest collection. This was followed by hair styling for Luisa Beccaria, where the secret garden inspired theme of the show was complimented by effortless-look hair styles. Louise Jenkins comments on the style, “We sectioned the hair into a central parting and the low pony was secured just above the nape. We then teased out soft, hairline pieces to create an effortless look for the runway. Using the Great Lengths double bristle brush was the perfect tool to help create this look”.
Milan Fashion Week finished for the Great Lengths UK Education team with the Shenzen show, which saw six different designers showcase their designs on over 100 models. The looks created by the team included a side-parted natural finish, a centre-parted effortless wave, a low ponytail and a mid ponytailed-knot.
Wow what an experience for Great Lengths UK!
