Coffee Talk with Great Lengths

Who doesn’t love a bit of coffee talk? We all do! With this in mind, Great Lengths updates its education offering with the launch of Coffee Talk on the 22nd of March- a free monthly business-focused seminar featuring guest experts from the Great Lengths salon community.

Kick starting the series is Beverley Rosser, whose salon Rosser Hairdressing is in Liverpool. Beverley became a Great Lengths Platinum ranked salon – the highest level possible – after being with the brand for just over a year. How? Well, in this insightful session, she’ll share the marketing techniques, customer service skills and training tools she used to build up a profitable salon, reliable team and fully-booked business. Now, isn’t that something you want to listen to?

Here are Beverley’s top tips. But don’t forget! For more expertise and anecdotes, join the FREE Coffee Talk session on Monday 22nd March at 11am. Register here: http://bit.ly/GLCoffeeTalks

Beverley’s tips

1. Think outside the box with marketing

”I’ve advertised on billboards and roundabouts as well as social media. You’ve got to show the world what you do and the benefits of your services to bring the salon to life.”

2. Communication is key

”I do ‘commentary hairdressing’ – explaining to the clients what you’re doing and why, at every step. No one wants to sit there and not know what’s happening to their hair, so keep them in the loop throughout the appointment.”

3. Find the right team

‘My whole team does extensions and I purposefully recruit people that are passionate about them. Everyone has a Great Lengths certification and it’s important to me that they are committed to it. Team members have to be the right fit: we’re like a family, and all support one another.”

4. Partner with the right brand

I wasn’t working with a brand before Great Lengths, I just sourced directly from a supplier. I’ve found the relationship and backing really valuable, as well as the marketing support and being able to put spend back into our business growth.”

Great tips, Beverley! We will be tuning in Coffee Talk for sure.
