This festive season, evo has joined forces once again with renowned Irish illustrator, Mark Conlan, to create some seriously swanky holiday gift sets that include a one-of-a-kind tote bag. Mark’s bespoke artwork features playful summer motifs with a festive twist – capturing evo’s big love for all things hair and the charm of an Australian festive season (which we’re sure you’ve heard, can get pretty darn hot).
Mark shares his thoughts on creating the one-of-a-kind prints you’ll find on this year’s gift set line-up…
Describe how you went about creating the motifs that make up the print on the evo holiday tote bag?
The holiday tote bag was inspired by warm summer days, long evenings and all the memories that come with this. there are many motifs throughout which were inspired by the vitality of evo products with the depiction of some more well-known summer motifs. I tried to create modern warm Christmas vibes within the realm of evo and their products.
What was the inspiration behind the prints you created with evo?
I find inspiration in many places, ideas, and people. A constant inspiration is nature and its complexity. The shapes and patterns found in nature-like the symmetry of flowers, the organic shapes of trees, or the beauty of the animals who live amongst it provide a constant source of inspiration. these organic structures and their interconnectedness push me to interpret them and their relationship with us humans.
