Each season, ghd Professional shares its Trend Reveal; a distilled edit of looks, designed to inspire and educate salons and their clients. Rather than providing salons with a carbon copy of catwalk looks, the Trend Reveal takes trending ideas for the season and interprets them through the eyes of four characters – four key client types, that every salon will know and recognise.
By identifying which of the four characters their client most closely resembles, stylists are equipped with the knowledge and confidence required to interpret new season trends through a relevant, real-world lens – and give clients the looks they love.
Customize the characters
The four Trend Reveal characters also allow salon professionals to provide their own interpretation of looks, adding their own details and updates to suit their clients.
Behind each Trend Reveal is a huge amount of work and knowledge, with brand ambassador Zoe Irwin using her trend forecasting insight to provide the basis of the looks.
As well as working with catwalk beauty trends, Zoe also looks to wider cultural and sociological movements, to provide trends that have depth – all of which helps hairdressers really understand the four Trend Reveal characters.
Eight looks for success
Each season’s Trend Reveal comes with eight looks; four hair-up styles and four hair down finishes. Each of these maximises the power of ghd tools and showcases new and diverse techniques. As well as providing inspiration for stylists and allowing them up to their education game, the tool-focussed techniques also allow salons to promote product retail and educate their clients on the benefits of ghd for styling.
