As always, ghd was the brand on speed dial for fast, fierce hair styles backstage at numerous fashion week shows for AW20.
Olivia Rubin AW20
Our favourite has to be the ‘flip & grip’ created for the Olivia Rubin show. Rewinding back to the 80’s, the hair look was inspired by Jerry Hall’s famous locks, but with a 2020 twist. Curls, volume and colour stole the show with a look created by ghd ambassador Zoe Irwin, using the new ghd helios hairdryer (obvs), and set in place with vibrant kirby grips. Love, love, LOVE!
Backstage at the Missoni show, the ghd team, led by Anthony Turner created styles inspired by geometries and graphics, a distinctive characteristic of the maison. Anthony commented: “For this Missoni AW20 show I wanted to create very sober and simple, yet extremely elegant hair looks. We took inspiration from the 90s but in a minimal and light way.” Think super sleek!
For AW20, the Kenzo collection saw monochromatic hues and wintery patterns by storm. With this in mind, Anthony Turner led the ghd team in creating a look that reflected the nomadic and futuristic feel of the clothes. The result was glossy dishevelled waves that were set in place with the new ghd helios hairdryer.
