High fashion and effortless elegance, Unite shares step-by-steps with us to translate their runway trends into achievable styles. Why not give one of these style’s a try on a client looking to experiment.

Carlo Avena led the Hair team in creating throwback hairstyles from the noughties! From iPod Shuffles to Silicone Spiky nails, this show really took us back in time.

Here’s how to create this hair look…

• Start by using a Rick Rack technique on small sections of hair. Complete this process on the whole head.
• Once set, remove the Rick Rack and start to brush the hair, this should give the hair a huge amount of texture and volume!
• Time to amp up the volume even more – Sprinkle EXPANDA Dust on the root and lengths of the hair and begin to rub the product in to create unbelievable volume.
• Set with Le:Play Hairspray and add in your Y2K accessories.

Size-A and Melissa Kate

UNITE Hair’s UK Ambassador, Narad Kutowaroo, led the hair team backstage at the Jimmy Choo Academy London before the teams were moved on for final prep and runway at The Point, Paddington. This show featured two very different looks. Size A went for a more abstract, sleek look and Melissa Kate went with a full-on big blow out.

Here’s how to create the looks…

Size A

• Part the hair into sections. Focus on one section at a time to ensure a clean finish.
• Start with the first section and spray a generous amount of UNITE SESSION Max Hairspray to the root and brush into a small sleek pony. Use your hairdryer to hold the product into place.
• Then start to wrap your chosen elastic around each ponytail.

Melissa Kate

• Section the hair to get ready to start a very neat set of rollers.
• Take the first section and spray UNITE MAX Control onto the hair and brush through to ensure it’s coated evenly.
• Take your curling iron and curl the hair away from the face. Hold for a few seconds and remove the wand.
• The hair can now be wrapped onto a velcro roller to set. Repeat to the rest of the hair and spritz all over with UNITE MAX Control Hairspray.
• Once you have let the hair set, it’s time to dress it out!
• Remove each roller and use a brush to backcomb the root to create volume and brush the rest out to give a soft curl. You can play around the hair to ensure it sits exactly how you want it.
• Finish with the 7SECONDS Glossing Spray to add a shine.

L Saha

The Unite hair team for L Saha was led by Lea Shaw. The team created sleek and elegant  looks, working with the models natural texture.

Here’s how you can get the look…

• Spray UNITE’s SILKY:SMOOTH Heat Activator all over the hair and either use a hairdryer or straightening iron to go over the hair to create a smooth, sleek texture.
• To create the sleek ponytail, you then want to start at the nape of the neck and spray a generous amount of SESSION MAX Hairspray to the root and brush the hair down. Then use your hairdryer to dry the product down so it’s secure.
• Repeat this process on the rest of the hair to create a sleek low ponytail. Secure with elastic and spray 7SECONDS Glossing Spray to finish the hair with a sheen.
