Get the look with Dan Mewies

A strong look with an androgenous edge. Inspired by editorial looks but with a softer feel, this look is beautiful, stylish, and totally wearable. We’ve had a chat with Dan Mewies of Mewies & Co. on what we need to do to recreate this super strong look.
Dan Mewies

Step-by-step

I began by doing a root bleach. I used Schwarzkopf Pro BlondMe 9 Levels + Igora Vario Blonde Cool Lift + 6% to lighten the roots to ensure they blended with the rest of the hair. I then toned the full head using Schwarzkopf Pro Igora 9-1 and 9,5-1 + 3% to create the soft white blonde with showstopping shine.

I then washed and conditioned the hair with both the Authentic Beauty Concept Hydrate and Replenish ranges. Replenish to help restore and repair the hair, keeping it super healthy and strong then the Hydrate for that much needed kick of moisture.

For the cut I wanted to create a shaggy mullet crop, leaving weight distribution at the back. I graded the side panels down to number 1 then undercut to create weight on corners, giving it a gorgeous feminine feel.

To style I used the Authentic Beauty Concept Nymph Salt Spray in wet hair for added texture and dried using a comb to give a sharp finish with lots of shape. I then pulled the lengths forward, exposing the nape and finished with the Authentic Beauty Concept Gritty Wax Paste for extra definition.
