UNITE have just nailed the front cover of Lewis magazine – a mens magazine that focusses on ethical fashion, pop culture and art. Their goal is to support labels that are committed to generating a positive change for people and our planet – which we love FYI.
Matt Stark, ambassador for UNITE’s men’s range – GO24.7 – and owner of Stark Hair Salon in Essex; was the creative hair stylist behind it all.

Matt says, “I was given creative control with the hair by the editor. It was important for me to create two looks that were separate from each other; with the models being brothers I wanted them to have there own identity.
For Harry I wanted to bring a 90’s Brit pop feel. Hair to be clean with only a slight shadow of product so I applied GO24.7 styling cream on damp hair and defuse dried very flat onto the face.
With Reid I saw this almost playboy look, so it was important to create shine and texture. I wanted him to look like he was always ready for the next party. Using a different approach, GO24.7 gel was applied on damp hair then combed through with a slightly fine comb. We used a lot of gel then finished with hair spray whilst the hair was still damp. The hair was very wavy – which was perfect, as it dried it did exactly what I wanted. Achieving a disheveled pretty boy look.
