Founders Formula: Who’s it for?

Founders Formula is one of Roots Professional’s bestselling topicals, and it’s no surprise why. This lotion-based solution allows for higher concentrations of state-of-the-art ingredients, making it the most powerful topical we’ve formulated to date. This product is best for those who are experiencing serious types of hair loss.

Alopecia is an umbrella term for a number of hair loss conditions. It ranges from patchy thinning to complete baldness or hair loss across the face and body.

Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disease where the body’s immune system attacks hair follicles. It’s one of the most common forms of alopecia—though there are various types, each with a range of different characteristics and effects. Changes to the hair, including thinning or hair falling out, may also signify an underlying medical condition that requires attention. It’s important to talk to a doctor or a trichologist if you notice changes to your hair’s density or condition.

Founders Formula: The Ingredients and How They Work

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice: Aloe vera contains something called proteolytic enzymes which repairs dead skin cells on the scalp. It also acts as a great conditioner and leaves your hair all smooth and shiny. It promotes hair growth, prevents itching on the scalp, reduces dandruff and conditions your hair.

Safflower oil: Used in hair, Safflower Carrier Oil will help to reduce hair loss and promote its growth. Its application can be as simple as adding a few drops to the ends of dried hair strands.

Wheat germ oil: Wheat germ is beneficial for the scalp and encourages strength and elasticity of each strand. At the same time, nourishing vitamin E and lecithin act as building blocks to make your hair act strong and look healthy. The essential fatty acids of wheat germ oil will help to strengthen hair’s root and follicle.

Marine Collagen: Marine collagen helps in the regeneration of different cells of the body even better than normal collagen. The fact that it’s derived from the ocean makes it much more pure. It particularly has a big impact on the regeneration of dormant hair follicles, which helps to promote hair growth and prevent hair loss.

Caffiene: Using coffee for hair, helps stimulate your hair follicles and speeds up hair growth. Caffeine also improves the blood circulation to your scalp, which in turn allows for nutrients to reach your scalp more efficiently. This results in a quicker and healthier hair growth.

Ginseng: Ginseng helps to increase the dermal cells on the scalp which, in turn, strengthens the follicles and roots of the hair. This not only encourages the new growth of strands but also prevents hair thinning and breakage.

Retinol: Retinol works to remove this sebum build-up, containing DHT, from the scalp, and therefore helps minimise hormonal hair loss and thinning.

Folic Acid: Folic acid helps to promote hair growth, add volume and even reduce the rate of premature greying—it does so by amping up the body’s cell production processes.

Pro tip: If you are looking for a boost in the eyebrow department, try using it once or twice a day for two weeks straight and it will stimulate your hairs to grow back fuller!
