It’s been a busy and inspiring month at Laceys Studio, with a packed calendar of education, creativity, and collaboration. From colour expertise to cutting precision and runway-ready styling, September brought together some of the industry’s finest educators, stylists, and students, all united by a shared passion for professional growth.

Blonde Ambition with Lea Shaw
September kicked off with the Blonde Ambition Look & Learn day, hosted by the brilliant Lea Shaw. The session was dedicated to Autumnal blondes — exploring everything from Joico product placement and formulation to business insights and client tips.
Stylists enjoyed a creative and informative day packed with hands-on learning and fresh inspiration for the season ahead.

Confident Classics with Gill Berry
New for October is the Joico Confident Classics Cutting Course with Gill Berry, an advanced programme designed to build confidence and precision in foundational cutting techniques.
Confident Classics covers nine classic haircuts and complementary colour techniques, grounded in the timeless principles of Line, Graduation, and Layers. The course is divided into three sessions, and part one saw stylists creating beautiful, precision-driven results.
“Really enjoyed today. Gill was very thorough in explaining all the cutting and colour techniques and made sure we were all comfortable throughout the day.” Mary Cinque, Studio 5
A few spaces remain for the final session on Monday 13th October and limited places are also available for Monday 27th October — book your place now!
Welcome to the Joico Family, Twentyfour Hair Salon
A huge welcome to Twentyfour Hair Salon, who officially joined the Joico family just in time for their new salon opening!
Laceys Educators spent two days delivering intensive colour and product training, ensuring the Twentyfour team were fully prepped for this exciting new chapter. The launch event was made even more special with a guest session from Dan Spiller of the multi-award-winning Marc Antoni Artistic Team and BHA Colour Technician of the Year 2022.
Congratulations, team Twentyfour — and best of luck in your beautiful new salon!
UNITE Runway Ready Takes on London Fashion Week
As always, the UNITE Hair Runway Ready Team brought their styling expertise to the spotlight at London Fashion Week, supporting five incredible shows this September. Working alongside Lead Hair Artists, the team delivered stunning, high-fashion looks with their go-to backstage hero: UNITE MAX CONTROL Hairspray (and plenty of it!).
The UNITE Runway Ready Course, held twice a year at Laceys Studio, gives stylists the skills and confidence to thrive backstage. From fast styling techniques to managing the creative chaos of Fashion Week. It’s also the only UK course that guarantees participants a place on the UNITE Backstage Team at London Fashion Week (and sometimes beyond!)
Open to UNITE stockists across the UK, Runway Ready welcomes all experience levels, and many stylists return season after season.
Here’s what newest members had to say after their first Fashion Week experience:
“Well done everyone!! I had the most amazing first experience and learnt so much from everyone!” – Zoe Carswell
“Thank you for an amazing first experience! It was brilliant, really enjoyed it.” – Ruby Pyne
Introducing the UNITE Pro Team
September also marked the launch of the UNITE Pro Team — a select group of Runway Ready stylists and Flagship stockists passionate about advancing their session and backstage work, while sharing styling tips and product expertise with the wider community.
The Pro Team recently visited the studio, bringing even more creativity and inspiration to an already buzzing Laceys space.
What’s Next at Laceys Studio
If September is anything to go by, there’s no slowing down for Laceys Studio! With even more education, inspiration, and collaboration ahead, it’s shaping up to be an exciting season…
