Crisis at Christmas

red-crisis

Avlon is delighted to support Crisis at Christmas by donating 100 hair products for use in pop-up salons at the Crisis shelters.

Crisis at Christmas is the seasonal campaign from the homelessness charity, Crisis. Over the holidays’ Crisis shelters offer much-needed warmth, healthcare, food and company to people experiencing homelessness across the UK. Importantly, the charity wants its guests to regain their confidence.

Avlon’s support

Hairdressing services are offered in the shelters’ pop-up hair salons across the country. In support, Avlon has supplied 50 bottles of shampoo and 50 bottles of conditioner, specifically for Afro hair types. The donation enables volunteer stylists to help people look and feel better during this challenging time.

The rising living costs are forcing people into making unthinkable choices between eating, heating or shelter. During Christmas 2021, the charity helped around 2,000 people experiencing homelessness by providing companionship, support and a range of vital services throughout the UK. 2022 could see greater numbers.

Get involved

Avlon hopes this gesture helps support this wonderful cause and its hardworking volunteers. If you want to get involved or show your support to Crisis at Christmas, you can do so via their website here
