Revlon Professional kickstarted the new year with a celebration of its achievements and people in style, plus revealing an exciting plan for 2023. Think fancy meals, a lot of partying and trophies given to stand-out team members followed by tons of inspiration on how to continue on a path of growth and success.
Annual conference and awards
Central London, January and Revlon Professional brought its team and impressive portfolio of clients together for the Annual Conference and Awards. What a fab return to ‘in real life’! Polar adventurer Alan Chambers MBE gave an introduction and an inspirational talk recounting his journeys and motivations. Then, the group discussed hot off-the-press trends, colours, new products and Revlon Professional’s vision for 2023 and beyond. It’s exciting to see big, in-person catch-ups following The Pandemic.
Celebration
As the first day drew close, it was all down to London’s Amano Hotel, a glamorous and ideal location for the awards evening. Incidentally it’s the first international hotel from the Berlin-based hotelier Amano group…intriguing.
The evening kicked off with a drinks reception, followed by a presentation from Matt Horder, general manager of Revlon Professional UK & Ireland. There was an appearance from industry PR guru, Julie Bellinger-Gibb, who shared her colourful career story. Brand master and educator Karen Thomas introduced global ambassador Mark Leeson to the stage, who welcomed the Revlon Professional Visionaries team 2022 to showcase their work with a line-up of fabulous models; it sounds like a creative evening.
Accelerate Awards
A focal point was Revlon presenting the much-anticipated Accelerate Awards, including titles for newcomer and team of the year, to its stand-out stars. The announcements made, guests tucked into a lavish meal at Penelope’s, Asian-influenced restaurants. Keeping the glamour high, delegates finished their evening with an afterparty overlooking the city skyscape on the roof-top terrace, a true celebration of its team.
Back at HQ the following day it was time for a marketing catch-up featuring a review of 2022 launches, a sneak preview of what 2023 has in store, and the launch of Revlon Manifesto – 5 Steps to Salon Success.
Matt Horder, general manager of Revlon Professional UK & Ireland, commented: “I always look forward to this event, and this year exceeded all expectations. It was a fantastic way to start 2023 and salute those who have broken new ground throughout 2022. It’s an honour to celebrate our team’s outstanding achievements and allow the future stars to shine so formidably. It’s fair to say we all went away fired up for the year ahead.”
