Hoorah! The Fellowship for British Hairdressing is delighted to announce the winners of the Calligraphy Cut Scholarship for 2025. The scholarship offers six hairdressers the opportunity to master a unique skill that will set them apart in the industry.
Calligraphy Cut is transforming the future of hairdressing forever. The Calligraphy Cut pen (that’s right its a pen, not a razor) cuts hair at a precise 21° angle – every strand, each time. This method not only enhances the natural movement and volume of the hair but also minimizes split ends, leaving it looking healthier and feeling softer.
Designed to put the mentees at the forefront of hairdressing, the scholarship program will introduce them to the calligraphy cut technique and empower them to create unique, expressive haircuts that clients willingly pay more for.
And the winners are…
Jamie-Leigh Bailey – Meraki Hair
Morgan Graham – MG The Studio
Chelsey Stone – Chelsey Stone
Gabriella Wain – Tilted Crown Hair Studio
Chris Grimely – Fusion Hair Co.
Rebecca Mills – William & Mary, Hair and Beauty
The six lucky candidates will be awarded a year-long scholarship that will elevate their career. They will get the calligraph, blades, and full access to the calligraphy cut Digital Academy, an online learning resource where they will spend time watching the relevant lessons & lectures. Once trained, they will complete their BlackStar certification and become a well-rounded calligraphista.
Besides the scholarship, the strongest candidate out of the six will receive an invitation to visit calligraphy cut in Germany to train exclusively with the founder of calligraphy cut, Frank Brormann, and complete their GoldStar certification. In addition, they will be considered for a role in the calligraphy cut International Artistic Team.
