B Corp Month with Great Lengths

B Corp month

March is B Corp month, offering an opportunity to reflect on the global businesses going the extra mile for their people and the planet. As the first hair extension brand to receive the prestigious B Corporation certification, Great Lengths hopes to use its influence for good and encourage others to consider the differences they can make.

B Corp month

B Corp certification recognises businesses that meet high performance, accountability and transparency standards. These standards include employee benefits, charitable contributions, supply chain practices, and input materials. Verification is strict, and to achieve certification, companies must demonstrate high social and environmental performance and complete transparency regarding the impact and operations of their business. It’s tough; that’s the whole idea.

Great Lengths’s efforts

Great Lengths began putting measures in place over ten years ago to become more responsible towards its people and the planet. The certification results from the company’s efforts to be more inclusive at all levels. Great Lengths says it made an effort to prioritise the welfare of its employees and its consumers’ trust. They also actively worked towards reducing the beauty footprint of the entire production chain. Becoming more transparent and sustainable is a goal that all businesses should prioritise. It’s great to see so many companies trying their best to look after their people and the planet.

The movement

Great Lengths joined a community of 4,200 businesses globally certified as B Corps. The brand is the first hair extensions company to be recognised at this level…quite the achievement! Great Lengths says that becoming a B Corp meant bringing ethics into business and caring for their community, business, and the environment.

Fabio Massimo Antonino, CEO of Great Lengths

“For us, creating economic value while simultaneously creating value for people and the environment has always been our approach to life,” says Fabio Massimo Antonino, CEO of Great Lengths. “Today, the world is ready to receive this message – people need to see it expressed and acted out in as many different situations as possible. Therefore, beyond the boundaries of Great Lengths, we would like to be perceived as ambassadors of these beliefs, carrying a message of hope and pioneering change, where the economy, environment, and society can grow together in harmony, supporting and improving one another.”
