When styling the hair for Ed Sheeran’s dancers at the Brit Awards earlier this year, there was one product that award-winning session stylist, Lisa Farrall (@lisafarrall), relied on to make sure her creative styles rocked – Keracare Edge Tamer from Avlon.
Edge Tamer temporarily straightens and smooths curly hairlines and lays down wavy hair to give edges a silky-smooth touchable texture. This super-holding colourless gel can quickly tame any tapered area without the fear of sudden reversion. Edge Tamer is Lisa’s hero product for high energy performances. She talks us through three key looks she created at the Brit Awards back in February and explains how this super styling product gave her looks the edge.
“For this look we started with a middle part, sectioning the hair in two and then adding extensions, braiding the hair so that it was super long. I used Edge Tamer around the hairline to create a nice soft wave and an intricate rebel side to this look. I finished off with some gold elastic to give the hair a bit of shimmer under the lights.”
“In this look there is a lot of precise sections. Edge Tamer gave me that guts to allow me to put in these neat sections, where I added bands in to elevate the hair. The Edge Tamer also ensured there were no baby hairs on show because that’s not what I wanted for this look, I wanted it to be harsh and precise.”
“This look started off with a high ponytail that I braided and then added in coloured hair to create a punk feel for the up do. I used Edge Tamer to control the baby hairs around the hairline and create a soft wave while also giving the edges of the hair personality.”
