Avlon announces new Art Team

Showcasing the creativity and expertise within Avlon hairdressing network, the brand is announcing its official art team for 2022.

The talented line-up includes Lathaniel Chambers and Pashcan’el Mitchell, working alongside Avlon’s European Education Director, Jacqui McIntosh.

Lathaniel Chambers has risen through the ranks of hairdressing to become one of the most creative, innovative, and inspirational stylists in the UK. Born and bred in Southeast London, he has already clocked up an impressive number of accolades, including winning nine Black Beauty Sensationnel Awards, becoming the youngest ever recipient to win the Stylist of the Year Award at the very same event in 2017. Equally impressive, Lathaniel has received five nominations for Afro Hairstylist of The Year at the coveted British Hairdressing Awards.

Lathaniel has been teaching for Avlon throughout London, for over 10 years, helping stylists to hone their skills with his trademark hands-on, affable approach that leaves them feeling empowered to work to their highest standard. Between session styling, producing editorial shoots and his educator work with Avlon, Lathaniel also runs a successful hair salon in Brixton, Lathaniel Couture Hair & Beauty.

Pashcan’el Mitchell

Pashcan’el Mitchell is an award-winning hairstylist with over 10 years’ experience in the industry. Starting his career in salons, he spent a number of years at Junior Green in Kensington, specialising in afro hair and solidifying his name in the scene. In 2012 he was named Newcomer of the Year at the Black Beauty Sensationnel Awards and his ability to do it all has seen his work published in consumer, industry and afro hair publications, including Wonderland, Spell magazine, Viper, Schick Magazine, Vogue and Black Hair & Beauty, as well as creating high end hair looks on set for video shoots and live shows. Favoured by all, his work speaks for itself as he continues to shake up the afro hair scene with his unwavering passion, talent and creativity.

Joining Avlon over 22 years ago as an educator, Jacqui McIntosh has witnessed the accension of Avlon throughout Europe in real time, and in fact, has greatly contributed to Avlon’s reputation for offering an exemplary service when it comes to the delivery of education. Jacqui now works as Avlon’s European Education Director, overseeing and managing the educational teams throughout Europe.

On announcing Avlon’s Art Team for 2022, Jacqui said “Now is a really exciting time for afro hair stylists as we see more salons broaden and diversify their services. Our new art team will use this momentum to demonstrate the versatility of Avlon products while will showcasing the exceptional talent and creativity within Avlon’s salon network, working on professional shoots, shows and events and collaborating with top names in the industry.”
