Anna Cofone styles Lana Del Rey’s hair for Met Gala

The 2024 MET Gala, themed “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” showcased a blend of historical references and modern technology in its fashion presentations. Among the highlights was Lana Del Rey, who graced the event in a sophisticated Alexander McQueen gown, complemented by a unique hairstyle curated by stylist Anna Cofone using Authentic Beauty Concept products. Amazing work Anna!

The Garden of Time

Lana Del Rey’s look for the evening subtly matched the “The Garden of Time” dress code of the gala, with her hairstyle playing an important role in enhancing the intricate details of her McQueen dress. Crafted by Anna, the hairstyle featured ethereal, deconstructed waves and a romantic tiered tulle headpiece that mirrored the textures and tones of Lana’s gown, designed by Sean McGirr. The cohesive styling beautifully demonstrated the importance of a well-considered hairstyle for a fashion ensemble.

Anna Cofone, Global Creative Advocate of Authentic Beauty Concept, shared her excitement and inspiration behind the look, saying: “Creating this look felt like a dream-like apparition of fragility and beauty, evoking the Romantic Gothic,” explains Cofone. “Ethereal, poetic, and timeless, this look was a homage to McQueen’s haunting 2006 collection,” she adds.
