As the leaves turn and the air cools, we look to new hair trends. This season, it’s all about healthy shine, soft movement, and wearable volume — the kind of hair that looks polished yet natural, and pairs perfectly with chunky knits and warm tones.
We’ve asked the pros at UNITE to share what’s trending for autumn 2025. From the return of bouncy blowouts to elegant waves and the timeless half-up, half-down.
Minimal Texture
“With its rich dark color and easy, relaxed waves, this style brings both calm and elegance to your autumn look,” says celebrity hairstylist Akiko Russell.
“Natural yet full of presence, it’s sure to be one of the key trends this season for its chic, elegant, and effortless look.
To get the look, apply EXPANDA Volume directly to the roots and lift them with a hair dryer. Then once dry, create waves with a curling iron. To finish, use TEXTURIZA Spray all over to add volume, and finish with SMOOTH& SHINE Styling Cream at the ends to give movement and shine.”
Polished Half Up Half Down
“I think this look will be popular for fall because it’s a quick and easy hairstyle that looks elegant in just a short amount of time,” says Mylan Medrano who describes the look as effortless and full of shine. To get a smooth,
manageable base before blow drying, Mylan used 7SECONDS Detangler which also provides heat protection.
Once dry and waves were added, he used U Oil to slick back the top for that clean, polished finish, and TEXTURIZA Spray throughout the bottom for added fullness, texture, and definition.
Bouncy Blowouts
A bouncy blowout never goes out of style, but we especially love it in the fall for the way it pairs perfectly with a favorite sweater or tailored blazer.
To achieve the look, celebrity hairstylist Alex Thao prepped damp hair with 7SECONDS Detangler to smooth, condition, and protect strands from heat. “This is always a must with my clients,” Alex shares. Next, she applied BOOSTA Volumizing Spray to build body, grit, and lasting lift before blow drying with a round brush. To finish, she used GO365 Hairspray to tame frizz and flyaways while keeping the style flexible and touchable.
Glossy Blowouts
“This hairstyle is stunning for the fall, because it’s so wearable no matter what your style is like,” says pro stylist Allison Kam. “It’s soft, intentional and polished.”
The key to achieving this look is starting from wet hair and really blowing out each section neatly to create a clean silky finish. I used 7SECONDS Detangler on damp hair to prep before blow drying, then put each section in rollers to let the hair cool. Once it was cool, I took them out and added some EXPANDA Dust to her roots and brushed it out to create a smooth and soft finish.”
Voluminous Ponytails
Effortless, cool and full of texture, the voluminous ponytail is a go-to hairstyle for fall’s layered looks and cooler weather. To get the look, pro stylist Allison Kam used 7SECONDS Detangler to prep and protect before blow drying and using a GHD Curling Iron. “I finished with TEXTURIZA Spray and EXPANDA Dust at the base of the ponytail to add a little lift and extra volume.
Elegant Waves
There’s something about soft, elegant waves that feel especially right for fall.
To achieve the look, celebrity hairstylist Alex Thao prepped damp hair with 7SECONDS Detangler and BOOSTA
Volumizing Spray for hydration, volume, and heat protection. Once the hair was dry, she used GO365 Hairspray for frizz-control and hold.
PRO TIP: The 3-in-1 adjustable-strength nozzle is ideal for hairstyles like this where you need a stronger hold at the base, but a softer hold that still allows movement throughout the bottom strands.
