Schwarzkopf Professional UK Ambassador and Haug London Haus co-founder, Philipp Haug, led the hair direction for Edeline Lee‘s LFW SS26 show. Backstage at Edeline Leeâs circus-inspired runway, Philipp and a talented team of stylists from Schwarzkopf Professionalâs salon network used the brandâs premium SESSION LABEL range to create slick, modern styles that perfectly echoed the collectionâs playful yet powerful vision. With his reputation for precision, creativity and wearable modernity, Philipp crafted clean, low ponytails pulled sleekly away from the face – a look that honoured strength and femininity while staying fresh, chic and endlessly versatile, both on the runway and in the salon.

Philipp said: âThe hair needed to honour that strength while staying modern and wearable, without becoming retro. I kept the look clean and powerful with low, sleek ponytails pulled away from the face, which gave the models an empowered silhouette. Edeline Leeâs collection was inspired by the early 20th-century womenâs rights movement, with nods to circus motifs and playful detailing with collars and buttons.
Philipp talks through the looks he created and how these high-fashion styles can be translated into salon inspiration. âThe hair was styled with a sharp side parting and smoothed into a sleek crown using mousse and gel from Schwarzkopfâs Session Label range. Depending on the outfit, ponytails were either tucked neatly into clothing (when paired with bold colours) or left simple and elegant.â
Salon Takeaway
A sleek ponytail never goes out of style. With the right prep and product, it can look fresh, chic, and modern rather than retro. Itâs the perfect option if you want something sophisticated for work or evening wear. Ask your stylist to show you how to achieve that glossy, controlled finish.
