The Hair Movement receives 800 five-star reviews

The Hair Movement, an independent hair salon and shared workspace in Sidcup, Kent, is celebrating its 800th five-star review on Google!

The remarkable milestone reflects the salon’s commitment to exceptional service, guest satisfaction and a personalised hair experience that keeps guests returning year after year.

The Hair Movement boasts of offering more than expert styling and colour services. Its success has been built on the ethos that everything must revolve around the guest, resulting in a warm, welcoming and professional environment where every guest feels valued – and it’s an ethos that has won a place in their guest’s hearts.

Benjamin Shipman

“Reaching 800 five-star reviews is a reflection of thousands of happy conversations and transformations we’ve shared with our guests,” said Benjamin Shipman, director of The Hair Movement. “It’s a milestone we’re incredibly proud of, and one that represents the dedication and talent of our amazing team, or tribe as we prefer to call them. Making people feel confident, happy and heard has always been our mission – and will continue to be our top priority.”

The Hair Movement has built a loyal guest base not just in Kent, but across London and the Southeast, thanks to its innovative approach. As a shared workspace, the salon also supports independent stylists and freelancers by offering a collaborative, inspiring environment in which to grow their own businesses.

With only a select number of salons across the UK reaching 800 five-star Google reviews, The Hair Movement joins an elite group of industry leaders who set the bar for guest satisfaction and service excellence. The volume and consistency of the reviews speak volumes about the experience the salon delivers throughout every appointment.

Guests frequently comment on the team’s friendliness, technical expertise, and the relaxed-yet-professional atmosphere that makes every visit special.

“We’re deeply grateful for the trust our guests place in us,” adds Benjamin. “Every five-star review represents someone walking out of the salon feeling more confident, refreshed, and cared for. That’s the real reward, and it’s what drives us every day. We’ll continue to evolve, learn and grow – but our core value of putting our guests first will always remain the same.”

And here is five-star review number 800

Maddie Bone:  Every time I go to The Hair Movement Salon I have the best experience. All the staff are welcoming, and you will be made an amazing tea or coffee on arrival. Everyone is polite and it has a very relaxing vibe.

Although everyone is lovely, Josh goes above and beyond to make sure my experience is the best it can be. He has great energy and always does a fantastic job with my cut and blow dry. I have never really found a hairdresser I can trust, but I now can’t imagine getting my hair cut by anyone other than Josh, I would 100% recommend!
