evo teamed up with Remain by Birger Christensen at Copenhagen Fashion Week. Designers Thora Valdimars and Jeanette Madsen took a step back in time, all the way to the roaring ‘20s. The vibe – side partings and low ponytails.

The sequin and fringe-heavy collection saw floor-length slip dresses and asymmetric ruffled pieces sent down the runway in shades of blush pink and buttery yellow. Hair director Kaspar Andersen mirrored the nostalgic energy but with a modern twist that felt fresh and relevant.
“I drew inspiration from the iconic hairstyles from the ‘80s and ‘90s. the big, voluminous curls of the ‘80s, and the sleek, structured bobs of the ‘90s, but with a contemporary edge,” he says. “I envisioned soft, loose straight hair that moved naturally and heavy side partings from the ‘90s in different variations.”
To bring Andersen’s vision to life, stylists used macgyver multi-use mousse, a multi-purpose styling mousse that can be used with or without heat to create volume, separation and texture, and miss malleable flexible hairspray, a strong hold hairspray that provides long-lasting style and shape control with a fine mist delivery and brushable finish.“The sleek, side-parted ponytails were inspired by the ‘90s, I kept the finish ultra-smooth, with every hair in place, but instead of the severe, gelled look, i gave the ponytails a subtle gloss, allowing them to reflect light on the catwalk without looking overly rigid. the ponytails were low and chic, the side part adding a sense of elegance and modernity.”
Taking place at the Royal Library’s garden, the invite-only show closed Copenhagen Fashion Week and was attended by roughly 360 key influencers and media, including editors from Vogue Scandinavia and Elle as well as Lovisa Worge, Janka Polliani, Darja Barannik and Marianne Theodorsen.
